70's Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hi everyone !

I'm back with the second one of my three decades inspired makeup tutorials.
As you can tell by the title today I am doing 70's - Three cheers for seventy's woo hoo hoo.
My friend was over the day I was doing this tutorial which is why I don't have many brilliant photo's because I didn't want to look like I was awkwardly taking selfies ! Also I'm sorry for the orangeness of my face because I used BB cream and applied a bit too much.

So the Seventy's makeup trends mainly consisted of coral lips and green eyes and I have attempted to give it a go so tell me in the comments if you have too !

What I'm Using
Essence Quattro Palette in 07 Party Animal | Collection 2000 Intense Colour Supersoft Kohl Eyepencil | Essence mono eyeshadow in 60 Kermit Says Hello | Essence kajal pencil shade was discontinued | Essence All Eyes On Me mascara | Pinky-coral lipgloss.

1. As usual I begin by moisturising my skin, etc. and then apply face makeup.

2. For my eyes, I apply a light green for the base of my eyeshadow and I'm using the green out of my Essence Quattro Palette in "07 Party Animal" for this.

3. I then apply a khaki-lime, etc. green eyeshadow to the crease of my eyelids and I used my Essence eyeshadow in "60 Kermit Says Hello" .

4. Under my eye, I apply some dark blue eyepencil and blend it in with my finger so it doesn't look very visible.

5. Then my friend (Helluur my friend if you're reading.) applied some turquoise eyepencil to the lashline which is where you usually apply eyeliner, etc. if you're confused with complicated words like me. She used her EcoTools smokey eye brush to blend it in I think and it does really compliment and blend in with green which is why you are currently squinting your eyes to see the blue. No need to my awkurd turtle, I can't see it either and I've good eyesight.

6. And finally I apply a coral pink lipgloss to my lips. There should be a close up of my lips, but I might've been to lazy to transfer the photo from my camera.

And above is the finished look which you can see.
I've always love the seventy's trends and finding out more about the trends have made me love them even more.

Stay tuned next week for my ninety's tutorial and I'll see you's over the weekend,

Grace x

'Snow Is Falling, All Around Me'

*** Click on the photo's and you can see the snow in them ***
*** P.S Thank you Mam for taking the photo's of my outfit <3 ***

School shirt | Dunnes Stores shorts | F&F tights | Claires accessories necklace and bracelet | Turquoise rose hairband | Dunnes Stores red leopard print doc boots

Hi everyone,

Today I went to what turned out to be 'window shopping' with my Mam because there wasn't alot of decent clothes and we had lunch out. I was looking for a 'wet-shine' A-line skirt or a leather black skirt or a basic black A-line skirt and New Look had none of them and neither did anywhere else so I'm left to look online. One positive is that I did buy Teen Vogue and this month's issue happens to not only be their 10th anniversary but has Chloe-Grace Moretz one of my favourite actresses on the cover !

It's been snowing all day and now that I look out the window it actually still is. It's like a blizzard with these huge snowflakes, but unfortunately it is yet to stick and probably won't. So instead of singing 'Snow is falling, All around me' I'm just here like 'Go home snow, You're drunk !' Sigh.

My outfit's pretty monochrome which is apparently all in this season (I don't follow the trends too much, Slap on the wrist for me.) and I love the whole preppy monochrome with red lipstick look so I of course felt very tempted to try that out and thankfully I ended up not looking like a clown and my 17 Lasting Finish lipstick has lasted through lunch and all.

See you's next week,

Grace x

60's Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hi everyone !

Today I'm starting a new series of makeup tutorials which will be up once a week midweek or so and will all be inspired by the past decades.
The first one I'm showing you is 60's inspired and consists of winged eyeliner, Mascara on bottom lashes and   lipstick.

What I'm Using
Essence Cherry Blossom Girl 2in1 eyeliner in 01 Made In Japan | Essence All Eyes On Me mascara | Essence Stay All Day longlasting eyeshadow in 02 Glammy Goes to | Essence lipstick in Sparking Miracle | Unknown eyeshadow palette.

1. Prepare your face, etc. by moisturising and lipbalming or however you prepare you face.

2. Apply your face makeup i.e Concealer, BB cream, etc. .

3. Next, Apply eyeliner to the edge of your eyeliner and to create a winged effect continue applying lighter and lighter, Flicking out at the side. You can apply the eyeliner as thin or thick as you like and for the best 60's look use a thicker eyeliner or gel eyeliner.

4. You can leave your eyelids natural or apply eyeshadow - They both look as effective. If you're applying eyeshadow use a "natural" beige, cream, etc. shaded eyeshadow. If you've a palette use darker eyeshadows near the crease.

5. Mascara or "falsies" on bottom lashes was huge during the 60's so if you're applying mascara be sure to apply a layer or two on your bottom lashes. I did attempt this, but I was afraid of messing up so it's very light.

6. For lips, Apply a bright lipstick to your lips. It doesn't matter whether you use red or pink, because not every lip colour suits everyone. I know pink better suits me much better than red so I wore pink lipstick. Sometimes lipstick doesn't suit a person at all so in that case leave your lips "natural" ... Just in case.

7. Finally if you have blusher apply some blusher to the apple of your cheeks to make your cheekbones stand out.

Above is my finished result which I was pretty delighted with !

So that was my tutorial for 60's makeup and my next tutorial will be up this time next week.
Also before I finish, I just wanted to thank everyone for the really lovely comments I got on my outfits of the week during the past week - I'm a happy llama.

See you's soon !

Decades Inspired Outfits of the Week, 11-15 February

Hi everyone,

Outfits of the Week are back for Midterm Break and I decided that this time I would create "decade inspired" looks mingled in with my own style. This is also because each day I was creating decades inspired looks for upcoming tutorials which you'll all see in the next few weeks. Also my Mam took some of these photo's (Thank you Mam - I love you <3 !) and there's alot of photo's squashed in so don't forget to click on them to view them in more detail.

Penneys collared dress | Dunnes Stores cardigan | Handbag & tights both F&F | Brown leather bow hairband | Pattered brogues from local shoe shop

 Hi everyone
Today's outfit is 60's inspired and I've decided to go for the preppy 'peter pan collared' dress and cute shoes look - Very 60's.
I am in LOVE with my new patterned brogues which I bought a few weeks ago on sale for only €20 which was a very good bargain ! I thought they'd add a preppier look to the outfit along with the collared dress and cardigan. I managed to find some coordination to plait my hair last night to curl my hair for a very 60's rollers in hair look, but then I discovered my plaits would look very preppy with this look so heck   I kept them in ! See you's tomorrow xx

Next maxi dress | Floral dress was my Mam's | Dunnes Stores floral doc boots, Feather-jewelled hairband | Bracelets unknown.

Hi everyone, You may guess that today's outfit was 70's inspired and I was going for the sixties-early seventies hippy-ish look. I adored this top that used to be my Mam's (not from the 70's btw !) and my floral maxi dress together especially with my beautiful feathered hairband and plaited hair too. I also decided to be productive today and add a few bracelets too. Happy Pancake Day !

Penneys jumper | Dunnes Stores shorts | Penneys t-shirt | F&F tights | Black flower clip | Dunnes Stores red leopard print boots.

Hi everyone, Today I was 80's / 90's grunge style because I really don't like the whole neon flamboyant eighty's look, but there is a comparison  between the grunge style of the ninety's and the doc boots and band tees of the eighty's so there was grunge in both decades. I don't really own a band or slogan tee or something so I wore my slogan-y jumper and chequered burgundy shorts with my red leopard print doc boots for a very grungy look and I didn't feel like backcombing my hair or anything so it's just in a plait and I also wore a different perfume today - So ... ? Fab which is a gorgeous fruity but glam scent. And also, It was Ash Wednesday and that's why I've my ashes on my head.

H&M jersey dress | Bella Moda polka dot crop-top | Forget where my blue cardigan is from | Turquoise rose hairband | F&F tights | Dunnes Stores red leopard print doc boots | Bracelets on left arm from Penneys | Right arm : First one I made myself reads cherry cola second unknown third Penneys I think next one my cousin made last one from local shop

Hey everyone,
Because of the absence of the 80's today I was just wearing my own style - Yes, A combination I have worn a million times with the addition of a cardigan for warmth purposes. I also decided to be daring and productive and wear a ton of cute bracelets wearing two of each colour on the left arm. I love wearing dresses with more casual items on top and of course some liquid eyeliner and pink lipstick (Sparking Miracle in the Essence range.) so that's really my kind of style. And there's another photo of my outfit on my camera thar won't upload. Also, Today was Valentines Day and my Valentines are my two cuties Plum and Truffle. Me and friends had our annual "Coca Cola Appreciation Day" or "Coke Day" for short (hence the bracelet.) so who cares if you're single on Valentines Day - There's another 364 days to share the love !

Dunnes Stores hoodie | Penneys leopard print leggings | Penneys top | Champagne coloured flower clip | Dunnes Stores floral doc boots | Penneys pastel coloured bracelets | Wooden bracelet made by my cousin | Last bracelet from local shop

Hi everyone, Today I tried to be noughties, 00's, Whatever you like to name the decade. I didn't do a tutorial for this because I was only wearing a dab of concealer and brush over of powder because I didn't go to much places. In the noughtie's everyone was fascinated by hoodies, Leggings and the whole tomboy look which Avril Lavigne pulled off and yea this is as far as my attempt goes. Also I've began obsessing over my Penneys bracelets again which I got last year or the year before in the Y.D section . They're super cute.

So they were my outfits if the week and I've been working really hard on this post all week so leave a comment telling me which outfit is your favourite !

ALSO ...

New Blogposts I read this week

I'm blowing back the kisses, blew to you before, blew to you before ( Cos It's The Bee's Knees.)

Pancake Tuesday

Hi everyone !

This post is just kind of my pancake day bloggings from yesterday evening.
My Mam made crepe-style pancakes and I helped flipping one or two of them without a major fail.
We had chocolate hazelnut spread, Sugar, Lemon juice, etc. on them and they were very yummy.

Today Lent starts and if you don't know what Lent is please don't ask me because I seriously don't know how to explain it clearly ! I'm giving up swearing this year which eh is going to be ... Difficult.

Also Photobucket is still driving me crazy and the fun of photo's taking ages to upload has worn off a while now sorry not sorry. I still have the rest of the week off and I have been taking photo's for my Outfits of the Week and makeup tutorials so you's will not be disappointed !
